View Of The Old Sanctuary From Platform
When the floor was removed, we found that the foundations of the two pillars had crumbled and the platform was largely supported only by a huge oak beam running the whole length of the front of the balcony. This beam was hundreds of years old, had become very hard and proved quite difficult to drill through when fixing the new balustrade to the front of the balcony.
Beyond the Sanctuary is a good size meeting room which we also redecorated, during the project period, together with the kitchen and toilets.
